We are happy to introduce our school district's new maintenance supervisor: "My name is Andy Miller. I grew up on my grandparents’ grass seed farm in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. After graduating school, I went to work as a truck driver and started a trucking company where I was a co-owner for 14 years. During that time I drove truck, oversaw equipment maintenance, infrastructure upkeep, and our company safety program and employee training. I left the trucking company to get back to my love of farming. For the past six years, I worked the day-to-day operations of a 12,000 acre dryland wheat farm in Sherman County, Oregon. That role included a lot of equipment operation and maintenance. I also have experience in remodeling and new construction as side projects over the years. In addition, I am a longtime fire department and ambulance crew volunteer. I was the fire chief for South Sherman county. While there I was able to interface with the board on budgeting, capital expenditures, and facilities projects. I also coordinated the other volunteers, interfaced with the other agencies, and ran fleet maintenance and operations. My wife, Lindsey, and I left Oregon to come back to her hometown of Monteview. We have five children, Austin, Peytton, Dakota, Cooper, and Wylie. I’m excited to join the West Jefferson community and have the opportunity to help take care of our schools and community members." Welcome Andy!
